Food and wine – Phillip Island
Savour seafood and sea views on Phillip Island, where the food is fresh, seasonal and celebrated.
Island dining
Enjoy dining options at all the island villages. Dine al fresco at The Foreshore Bar and Restaurant at Rhyll, but head to Cowes for the main course. Linger in seaside restaurants like Harry's on the Esplanade, or replenish at airy beach cafés.
Wineries
The island's scattering of vineyards are building a reputation for cool-climate wines with full fruit flavours. Visit a cellar door for tastings with the winemakers and stay for lunch among the vines.
Fresh is best
Snap up delectable seafood straight off the boat at the San Remo Fisherman’s Cooperative. Fish for trout at the fishing park and cook it all up at one of the island's foreshore picnic areas.
Don't miss the monthly Churchill Island farmers' market. In the historic surrounds you can sample local cheeses, organic fruit and vegetables and free-range chicken products.
