Aussie Rules Footy on Getaway

Friday May 21st, 2004 saw Melbourne Sports Tours host television station Channel 9 and their Getaway program at the Collingwood Vs Adelaide game. This was for an upcoming story featuring our "Friday Night Footy - See It Live" product.

Getaway's Number one presenter, Catriona Rowntree was our onscreen guest, as Anthony explained the rules, bumps, and brawls as they happened. We were treated to an exciting match (Collingwood by 3 points), and are pleased to suggest our guests had a great night (nothing new here, all of our guests on all of our tours have a great time). Did you see us on the Channel 9 match coverage?

The program was screened on July 1st. Getaway is shown on a Thursday night at 7.30pm.

Special thanks to our helpers on the night, Scott, Anthony E, Andrew, Janine, Shannon, Debbie, Chris, and those that had helped us away from the footy. And a special thanks to Catriona, as well as Bec, Matt, and Darren, who made us very comfortable for our television debut (subject to final production of course).

Special mention also, to Yann and the team at Batman's Hill Hotel for their support in readying their new site for the night.
